IlletasThe sophisticated town of Illetas is a hillside resort, situated on the south coast of Mallorca, on the west side of the Bay of Palma. It is just six miles southwest of Palma and 12 miles from the airport. There is a regular bus service to the capital. Illetas has two small sandy beach coves and some of the more exclusive hotels even have their own private beaches. The resort offers a number of small restaurants, bars and cafes. Many of the hotels operate their own restaurants. Nightly entertainment is sophisticated and very much hotel based. Illetas is popular with families with older children, couples looking for a secluded holiday, or golf-lovers who want to take advantage of the quality courses nearby, the nearest being the 18 hole Royal Bendinat course, which is just one mile away.
